Aqua Cars, Portsmouth’s longest-established private hire firm, is rebranding under the Veezu name alongside Bridge Cars in Gosport and Andi Cars in Havant and Waterlooville.
The change comes after Aqua Cars was acquired by the Veezu Group in February 2024. The move aligns the three south Hampshire operators with Veezu’s national network and technology-led model.
Veezu is the UK’s largest private hire technology platform. It now works with more than 16,000 self-employed driver-partners across 50 locations nationwide.
Passengers in Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant and Fareham will still book with the same trusted local drivers. However, the Veezu app will introduce updated features, wider payment options and improved booking tools.
The rebrand marks the latest step in Veezu’s expansion, aiming to standardise services and technology across its UK operations while retaining local driver connections.
Emma Forder, Veezu's Regional Operations Director, said: "We’ve always believed that better travel starts locally – with trusted driver-partners, smart tools and a service people can rely on. By bringing Aqua, Bridge and Andi Cars under the Veezu name, we’re creating a simpler, more consistent experience for passengers across Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant and Fareham. We’re investing in new technology, improving access to transport, and continuing to support the communities we serve through hyperlocal investment.”
