5 pedicab riders have been reported for noise offences and a speaker was seized after another night of police patrols and crackdowns in London's Soho.

Police have recently stepped up enforcement against pedicab riders in the capital, tackling loud music played by the riders, as well as issues of over charging.

Metropolitan Police Soho Team took to Twitter to highlight the latest round of enforcement, saying: "Another night of joint patrols with staff from City Westminster targeting pedicab noise.

"5 pedicab riders were reported to court for noise offences by city inspectors & a speaker was seized from a group on Tisbury Court at 3am."

This is the second time in two weeks that we have reported on such offences by pedicab riders in London.

The last time we highlighted pedicab enforcement, 10 riders were reported to court, 4 formal warnings were given and a passenger was assisted after she was significantly overcharged for a journey.

In was reported that she should have been charged £18 for the trip, but during the payment process the rider added an extra zero to the fare, attempting to charge £180. Luckily for the woman, the police were on hand to assist.
