TaxiPoint pledges their support to London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children to help raise awareness
Help us raise vital funds for a worthy industry cause
TaxiPoint are delighted to announce their support of the London Taxi Drivers’ Charity for Children (LTCFC) over the next 12 months. The online UK taxi news hub will support the LTCFC, who are celebrating their 91st year, by helping them to raise vital funds and increase awareness of their work within the taxi industry and a wider audience.
TaxiPoint, a free service for taxi drivers and those affiliated with the trade, will encourage their readership to donate in any way they can. Whether donating time or money, they hope it will help the charity make a difference to special needs and disadvantaged children. The charity is best known for its annual “Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” which was held at the Grosvenor House in London this year, and their trip to Southend-on-Sea where they take over 250 very excited children, along with their carers, to the seaside for the day. Whilst they are well known for their events and trips, the LTCFC’s appeal work is at the core of the charity. To date, their funds have provided essential medical equipment, hospice renovations, technology and recreational aids to truly amazing children. Perry Richardson, a London taxi driver and Chief Editor of TaxiPoint said: “We’re absolutely delighted that TaxiPoint can offer its support to the LTCFC. We’ll be highlighting the wonderful work the charity has been doing and also encouraging more drivers to support the cause going forward. “TaxiPoint is a free news service for taxi drivers and we hope our community of readers will come together and offer its support to the LTCFC. “Having been a cabbie for close to ten years, it will be a privilege to join the wonderful volunteers on this year’s trip to Southend-on-Sea.. I look forward to seeing many others there!”
