mytaxi launches Leicester service as UK expansion continues
Europe’s biggest taxi app, mytaxi, yesterday announced its launch in Leicester, and to celebrate, is offering 50% off all trips until 25 March. Supporting and promoting local licensed taxi drivers is fundamental to mytaxi, as the business seeks a central role in Leicester’s transport system. Having just launched in Derby, as well as also operating in Nottingham, the Leicester launch will not only provide faster and more efficient travel for locals travelling throughout the city, but also those looking to visit neighbouring cities in the wider East Midlands region.
David Savage, UK General Manager at mytaxi comments: “We are really excited about mytaxi coming to Leicester. It’s our second launch in the East Midlands this year, and we’re keen to replicate our success here like we have in other cities. Leicester is such a fast-moving city with a real buzz, not to mention its famous football team and bustling nightlife. The launch of mytaxi is Leicester marks the firm’s second regional launch in 2019, with the app already operating in eight other UK cities including London. mytaxi officially launches in Leicester on the 11th March and is a free app available for iOS and Android.
