Gett rebrands One Transport as Gett Business Solutions
Gett has announced that it is rebranding its corporate division One Transport as Gett Business Solutions. One Transport was founded in 2001 (long before Gett existed), and has always offered a range of vehicle types, including Black Cabs, to corporate accounts. One Transport became part of Gett in 2016 when the company bought Radio Taxis, and has since gone from strength to strength, putting tens of millions of pounds of corporate work into Black Cabs every year. The rebrand is happening to ensure the single ‘Gett’ brand is used around the world, while maintaining a clear division between the Gett service for the general public (which in London is exclusively Black Cab) and the company’s business services. Gett Business Solutions will now focus on winning corporate account work, including both short and longer distance work for London’s Black Cabs. One Transport will continue to exist to serve a small number of large and long term private and public sector accounts who can’t be easily migrated to the new brand. One Transport will therefore maintain its own Operator’s licence in addition to that held now by Gett Business Solutions. Matteo de Renzi, Gett’s UK CEO said: “The name One Transport was first conceived of almost two decades ago, long before our involvement, and it’s time to bring it under the Gett umbrella, as it grows and keeps winning account work including for Black Cabs. “We’re pleased to be able to confirm that the only vehicle the general public can hail via the Gett app remains the Black Cab and that Gett Business Solutions does not offer services to the general public, only to corporate accounts. There are no plans to change this. “We look forward to Gett Business Solutions going from strength to strength under its new branding and helping to put even more work in Cabbies pockets.”
