Gett to look for new buyer according to sources

Ride-hailing app Gett are to look for buyers in an attempt to compete with bigger rivals, according to Bloomberg sources.

The taxi company originating from Israel has contacted potential buyers which include “other car-hire firms” according to Bloomberg sources wishing to remain private. The popular taxi app in used by passengers and drivers in London could sell it’s entire global business or offload regional markets. Talks are in their earlier stages with no sure sale agreed. Gett are due to show profitability in the first half of 2019 with a spokesperson of the firm adding “it should not be surprising that Gett may receive inbound inquiries from strategic partners,” Little more detail is known at this stage.
