TfL pushes back English written tests for private hire drivers due to Uber appeal
The capital's transport regulator, Transport for London, has revealed it will delay the start of the written English language exam for private hire drivers. The new safety was due to start in September this year, but has now been pushed back to April 2018, due to Uber winning its right to appeal the case.
The case will start 20 February 2018. With Uber's operators license still under scrutiny it is unclear as to whether this legal battle, which is just one of many currently ongoing for the American transport firm, will hold any weight in the forthcoming decision.
