Uber has expanded its presence at London’s St Pancras International station through a partnership that will see the company incorporated into the station’s official wayfinding signage, according to a statement from Uber UK General Manager Andrew Brem.
The move is designed to help passengers locate Uber pick-up points more easily at the major rail terminal, which serves domestic high-speed, commuter and international rail services.
Brem said the partnership with London St. Pancras Highspeed aims to make the transition from train travel to onward road transport “as seamless as possible”.
The development reflects the growing importance of rail stations within Uber’s UK transport network. According to Brem, eight of Uber’s ten most requested destinations in the UK are train stations, highlighting the role of rail hubs as key interchange points for ride-hailing services.
Ride-hailing firm adds branded pick-up guidance at one of the UK’s busiest rail hubs as it looks to strengthen rail-to-road travel connections.
Passengers can already book rail tickets and Uber journeys through the Uber app. The addition of branded wayfinding signage at St Pancras represents a further integration of Uber’s services into the passenger journey, helping travellers navigate from platforms to designated collection areas.
“Working with our partners at London St. Pancras Highspeed, we’ve added Uber to the station’s official wayfinding signage, helping customers find their pick-up point quickly and keep their journey moving,” Brem said in a LinkedIn post announcing the initiative.
The partnership is the latest example of mobility providers seeking closer links with rail operators and station managers as demand grows for integrated door-to-door travel.
